"Birth"
Cast so far:
Dominick- 6 ft. Medium build, but in good shape. Hair parted to the right or left. Jeans and a t-shirt. Normal looking dude. Any sort of ethnic background. Take your pick. But he's definitely a dude...with a big fuckin head wound.
Singer- 5.5 ft. This guy should also be in decent shape, but with a dingy overcoat wrapped around a horrible and stained shirt. A strand of gum is holding the last vestiges of fucked up gnarly teeth in his worn and angry face. Regardless, he's still managed to keep all of his teeth, somehow. Balding with a sawed off. Personal note: That would be a good band name.
Page 1-
Dominick is falling from a high rise building, as though he has just jumped. He has been beaten pretty badly, but all you see is his face for the next 4 pages. Caption- "I'm free."
Page 2-
1st Panel- "Free from obligation..."
2nd Panel- Dominick is falling.
3rd Panel- "Free from pain."
4th Panel- Dominick is falling.
Page 3-
Start out with a bust shot. Bring it in closer and closer to his face. He slowly starts to smile. The 5th panel is larger than the other 4.
1st Panel- Caption- "They say that when you fall, your life passes before your eyes."
2nd Panel- "This is mine..."
3rd Panel- "From birth..."
4th Panel- "To death."
5th Panel- Black.

Typical kitchen of a fairly nice restaurant. Several steel cabinets placed in rows with an alley in between. Each panel should be horizontal and stacked.
1st Panel- Kid running through the alleyway in between the steel cabinets. In the background, on the floor, there is a dead man with blood coming out of his mouth. Behind them, a huddled group, three kids and a woman, presumably their mother. The caption reads- "Fuck."
2nd Panel- Shows a shotgun being raised. Caption- "Fuck!"
3rd Panel- This panel will look like a PowerPoint page. There is a sideways view of the shotgun. Underneath this is a description of the gun.
Description- "Sawed off Browning Auto-5 semiautomatic 16 gauge, housing 8 rounds with the plug out. Circa 1982, meaning not released to the public until 1987. Never officially made. The market had no need for the subtle difference in 12-20 gauge. No need for stopping power without worry of shooting through walls."
4th Panel- Shows the shotgun blasting in the background, while the kid is flying apart. The kid is very close to the camera. Caption- "..."
5th Panel- Black.

1st Panel- Aerial shot of Dominick with blown out kid in his lap. Dominick has a gun in his hand. Kid is obviously dead. Dominick has had his right eye shot out, along with a chunk of his hair. Caption- "What...? Where the fuck...?" Singer laughs in the background, interrupting Dominick's train of thought.
2nd Panel- Sideways view of 9mm Beretta.
3rd Panel- Shot of Dominick turning around at the sound of the shotgun holder. Over the cabinet, Singer (Shotgun holder/bad guy) "Hah ha haa! Me, too, old buddy. I like kids, too. Heh heh."
4th Panel- Shot of Singer picking up another kid (kid #2). Unobtrusive fire extinguisher in the background. Kid #2 has very distinct clothes, though not outrageous. Mother screaming while reaching for her child "No!"
5th Panel- Shot of Singer kissing the kid on the cheek. Kid, tear streaked- "Heehnnh..."

This is going to be a full page, with the overall background being a shot of Dominick pulling the upper receiver of his handgun back. No round is ejected; he hasn't put a round in the chamber yet. Around him are 8 smaller panels, N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW.
N- I have a gun. I'm against a madman. If I were the "good guy" though, I'd have a badge of some sort.
NE- Picture of the kid #2's tear-stained face.
E- Picture of huddled group in the corner, scared and also crying.
SE- Picture of Singer's face, contorted in cruelty, yet basking in his power trip, his smile is filled with sharp, jagged teeth.
S- If I don't do something, we could all die. Tough luck kid, but I have to save the rest of us.
SW- Picture of original kid that was shot already.
W- Picture of atomic family posing.
NW- Picture of Dominick being shot in the head by Singer.

Full page of Dominick, with the upper receiver pushing a round home. Sound- "Clack"
Page 8-
1st Panel- Dominick looks down at the heap of a once living child in his arms.
Off panel- "Better I kill you rather than Marshall!"
2nd Panel- A blur is coming from the side of the cabinet that Dominick has taken cover behind.
3rd Panel- Spark of recognition in Singer's eyes, evil grin.
4th Panel- Singer has raised his shotgun and has fired at the blur.
5th Panel- Shows an aerial shot of Dominick popping out from behind the cabinet, while the dead child is hit again by the shotgun blast.
6th Panel- Shot of Singer's eyes in surprise.
Page 9-
1st Panel- Dominick is firing his gun.
2nd Panel- You see the impacts of the rounds to the right of Singer, slowly being walked onto him.
3rd Panel- A stray round hits the fire extinguisher behind Singer and it explodes.
4th Panel- Singer drops kid #2 and his shotgun.
5th Panel- Singer is riddled with bullets.

1st Panel- Dominick runs out of bullets. Sound- "Pow, click, click, click, click, click, click"
2nd Panel- Child standing in shock.
3rd Panel- Round has ejected from Dominick's gun.
4th Panel- Singer is falling.
5th Panel- Round has hit floor still bouncing.
6th Panel- Singer falls to his knees.
7th Panel- Round remains sedentary.
8th Panel- Singer falls to the ground.

1st Panel- Kid #2 faints.
2nd Panel- Dominick slumps to the ground.
3rd Panel- Kid #2 hits the ground.
4th Panel- Dominick passes out.
5th Panel- Black.
Page 12-
1st Panel- Dominick wakes up (smaller panel). Conversation outside of panel- "Yeah, right. Why don't you bring me some coffee while I watch this asshole."
2nd Panel- Fills up the rest of the page. Dominick is handcuffed to a hospital bed, his head wrapped in gauze covering his right eye. Biohazard bin is by the wall. Outside the door, a cop is telling someone- "Gotta be on my toes when I'm watching a vegetable."
