HEAVY FEATHER FALLS 

 

The following takes place during the Battle of Sekigahara.  All actions need to be grandiose and with drastic action lines.

 

Page 1-

 

Start with one long panel.

 

1st Panel- A feather is wafting through the air, about 40 feet above a raging battlefield. Around the field are dead and dying infantrymen with an interspersing of samurai. The weapons include swords and staffs, but also rifles. There is still a great deal of fighting occurring with banners marked "Tokugawa" at random. This will not stop throughout the story. There is a stream running directly in the middle of it. Caption- "Heavy feather falls..."

 

2nd Panel- It has fallen between an infantryman and a samurai. Caption- "...into Sekigahara..."

 

3rd Panel- The samurai is yelling and swinging his blade.

           

4th Panel- The blade just misses the feather.

 

5th Panel- The feather is about to land in the stream.  Caption- "...with latent purpose."

 

Off Panel- "Hah!"

 

Off Panel- "Aaaugh!!"

 

Page 2-

 

1st Panel- The feather falls into the stream.  You can see the armies in the background and all around it.  Caption- "Torn into battle"

 

2nd Panel- The feather continues down the stream.

 

Sound- "Shukk!"

 

3rd Panel- A man's head falls by the streamside.  Caption- "of the heaviest nature."

 

4th Panel- The feather floats past the head.  Caption-  "For one single act."

 

5th Panel- Pan back from feather.  Caption- "An errand for fools"

 

6th Panel- Pan back further.  Caption- "who scoff at what hell can be"

 

7th Panel- This is a larger horizontal page.  Now you see the whole battlefield, with exorbitant amounts of violence occurring.  Caption- "and dance between death."

 

Page 3-

 

1st Panel- Pan forward towards the feather, the same as panel 6 of page 2.

 

2nd Panel- Same as panel 5...

 

3rd Panel- Full horizontal.  Back to the feather floating down the stream.  Caption- "With lovers' blindness"

 

4th Panel- Feather is rolled over by a swordsman who is rolling through the stream.  Caption- "it dares the toiling rapids"

 

5th Panel- Man stands back up with the feather on his chest and a sword held low.  He doesn't notice it.  Caption- "facing fear head on."

 

Page 4-

 

1st Panel- The man rushes forward into the fray, screaming.  Caption- "Unrelentingly,"

 

Swordsman- "Rraauughh!"

 

2nd Panel- Another man, this time an archer, is screaming and pointing his bow at the man, however, the archer is behind the swordsman.  Caption- "obliviously onward"

 

Archer- "Haiiii!!!"

 

3rd Panel- Archer lets arrow fly.

 

4th Panel- Arrow hits the swordsman in the back and pokes out the front of his chest.  The feather dislodges.  Caption- "and damn consequence."

 

Swordman-  "Hakk!!"

 

5th Panel- Horizontal.  Swordsman falls with archer in the background being stabbed from behind and the feather floating away.
